/WE DID IT!
Congratulations to everyone who participated (and survived) in this year's Open! You have all made me proud, and I hope you feel the same about yourself. Even if you had a hard time with a workout, movement, or the weight was too heavy, you put your fitness to the test and did you best, giving a full effort, and that is a FULL VICTORY.
It is sometimes hard for some of us to remember that we do CrossFit for fun and to be healthy. The competitive aspect of CrossFit is fantastic when it motivates us to be better, but sometimes we get too serious, make our workout times too important, and stress out over our Open placement. Remember that the Open is just a snapshot of where you're at today with your fitness. It doesn't define who you are as a person.
We will be watching closely to see if Mitch is going to get to go to Regionals this year. Keep an eye on the leaderboard on Monday night and keep your fingers crossed for him! He will need to train even harder if he gets an invite and will need all of our support during his training and at the competition in Del Mar.
Congratulate yourselves and your teammates on a job well done, relax the intensity and weights this week, and just have some fun working out again!
