The Open is Over!
/If you're anything like me, you had a blast during the Foundry Open, you're glad it's over, and you're already looking forward to next year! There were some awesome moments, PR's and performances during this year's workouts, as usual. It's for these moments that we encourage everyone to participate. If you missed out this year, make sure you sign up in 2018!
While we were having our inner-gym competition, a few athletes threw their hat into the ring for the CrossFit Open, and there are some notable finishes to report! When you see these guys at the gym, let them know that you're proud of them!
Sean finished in the top 200 IN THE WORLD in the Men's 35-39 category. He has worked hard to achieve this and we're proud of him! He now gets to do 4 more workouts at the end of April as part of the Master's Qualifiers. The top 20 athletes move on to the CrossFit Games, so he's going to need our support as he tackles these workouts. Having competed at a high level on several occasions before, he's definitely up to the task. Way to go, Sean!
Hunter Frech competed in the Teenage Boys 14-15 Division and did a great job, finishing 14th in Southern California! It's awesome to see such a good kid take a serious interest in fitness and excel!
Grey had his work cut out for him this year in the Teenage Boys 16-17 Division, with every workout requiring the same weight as the Men's division! Although these were some heavy workouts, he was able to get through them and finished 13th in Southern California. I'm proud of my son, and I'm looking forward to seeing where he's at in 2 years! These boys make me wish I had started CrossFit when I was a teenager!
Give it up for these athletes! 👏👏👏
